The Director identification number is a legal obligation for all Company Directors.
It is a unique identifier that you apply for once and keep forever.
Ensure that you meet your obligations:
Directors who are appointed under the Corporations Act 2001 must apply before November 30.
Directors must apply for their own Director ID, no one can apply on their behalf – we can not do this for you!

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is responsible for enforcing director ID offences set out in the Corporations Act 2001.
It is a criminal offence if directors do not apply on time, for more information about the penalties that may be applied, visit asic.gov.au/director-id
